Last week, I mentioned that I would be running a short series about different ways to wear orange this Spring. On Monday, I posted 7 different ways to wear orange on your lips. Today, I am offering one more blush look using two different oranges.  This look is easy and affordable. In many ways, I was trying to dupe NARS’ infamous “Taj Mahal” blush, but with a less glittery effect.

Stay tuned for how I got this look and see how it compares to NARS’  ”Taj Mahal”.

The look above combines NYX’s Powder Blush (“Cinnamon”, £7.95) and the vivid, shimmering orange eyeshadow in Sleek’s “Sunsette” eye shadow palette (£6.49). Together, these are both cheaper than “Taj Mahal” (£20.95) and offer tons of variety for eyeshadow and blush combinations. You could wear the Sleek eye shadow on its own as a blush if you have fine pores. I do not, so I used a matte apricot blush as a base then layered the shimmery orange shadow on top, mostly on the top of my cheekbones, away from my larger pores. I threw in a little tropical blue liner to compliment the shimmering orange blush. I used a aqua blue gel liner from Boots No. 7 range and sealed it with the blue shadow in the “Sunset palette” (see below)

Here’s a swatch of “Taj Mahal”  next to a swatch of the orange shadow in the Sleek “Sunset” palette.
