I must confess that I usually don’t give a rat’s behind about nail polish. I
love getting refuse to do my own pedicures. As part of the pedicure, I have my toes polished. But polish on my nails usually makes my hands look stumpy, like catcher’s mitts. Yes, yes, I’ve constantly been told that I am crazy for thinking this way. My point is, I have found a new love for nail polish of the glitter variety. It has to be chunky glitter or a mix of fine and chunky glitters. I recently got a mani-pedi where the manicurist used a really chunky glitter polish with a slate gray colour base. I searched all over for it, but it’s a pro nail polish that she bought from a trade show :o(. I’m not ashamed to say that I asked her to purchase some for me the next time she goes to one of these shows. Until then, here’s what I’m doing to indulge my new obsession:
Yellow nail polish is all the rage this summer. Chanel sold out of their yellow polish in a matter of hours. I should let you know that the yellow polish shown above is by Miss Sporty and cost me £1.99. Actually, it was less than that because I got 3 polishes for £3.98 from Superdrug. Here are the other two colours that I got:
The Nubar polish is Golden Glow from Beautybay.com (£5.50). I love the mix of glitter in the Nubar polish, but I have to put on many coats to build it up.
