I have Reynaud’s disease (severe circulation problem that impacts mostly hands and feet, leaving them severely cold and numb). So I don’t have much love for the winter season (actually November-March). However, I do like to feel the crisp wind on my face. I love to see fairer skin women with flushed cheeks and barely there makeup. Obvs, because I have darker skin, the flush from the wind isn’t as evident on my face (unless it’s windburn). I wanted to create that look of a winter wind’s flush. Plus, you guys know how I feel about blush. In most cases, I think a woman’s look is incomplete without it. Blush adds vitality. Who doesn’t want to look alive?!

This page has had a lot of new visitors in the last few weeks, which is wonderful. I hope all of you, if not some, will stick around for the ride. I’m just over two months away from AYF’s first year anniversary. The viewership has grown over ten fold since the first couple of months. I’m humbled. Thank you.  I will be moving this site either to Blogger or a self-hosted site soon so that we can have more of a community (Google Follow, Facebook Widget, etc.). Word Press is wonderfully organized, but limited in some ways.  I’m looking for ideas on how to transform the look of the site. If any of you out there have ideas on want to take on an internship, please drop me a note or tweet me @AceYourFaceUK .

Anyway, on to the FOTD.  This look is focused on contouring the inner and outer eye so that the focus is on the center of the eye lids, which has a lighter colour. This type of eye shadow effect is usually used to visually reduce lid space of women with really prominent eyes and plenty of lid space.
