Earlier this week, I started a freelancing gig with Illamasqua in Birmingham.I don’t have a regular schedule, so I’ll be there 1-2 per week (stop by if you’re around
). So far, I love working with them and everyone has been super nice, especially the counter manager. The company is amazingly creative and theatrical, but it’s customer base is very diverse. The other day we had a group of young-ish guys and girls stop by to ask about hiring a freelancer to do really theatrical, drag queen-ish makeup for Birmingham’s Gay Pride in June. But I’ve also had plenty of wealthy women over 40 who love our lipsticks, blushes and foundation. And everyone else in between! I hope to bring you plenty of reviews on their products as I acquire them. For my first day, I only possessed 3 Illamasqua products: Rich Liquid Foundation (£21.50, RL 240), Blusher Brush 1 (£25.50), and Pure Pigment in “Static” (£15.50, reflects pink/purple). I had to use other colours and products from my collection that could approximate ones that Illamasqua has. Here’s what I came up with:
